Quebec’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility advises road users that major obstructions are expected over the weekend from July 17 to August 3, 2026. The Honoré Mercier Bridge, located on Route 138 between Montréal and the South Shore, will be partially closed during this time.
This obstruction is required in order to repair part of the concrete slab of the upstream bridge (towards the South Shore).

Other measure
The detour routes will be marked with temporary signage. Episodes of congestion are to be expected. The Ministry recommends that road users who will have to travel in the area allow more time to get to their destination, especially to the airport.
Work may be postponed, extended or cancelled due to adverse weather conditions or operational constraints. Before hitting the road, it is recommended that you consult Québec 511, a practical tool for properly planning your trips, and download the Québec 511 mobile application to activate notifications.
