$40 million Lotto Max jackpot won in Quebec, winner yet to come forward

A single winning ticket sold in Quebec has claimed the $40 million Lotto Max jackpot from the June 26 draw, but lottery officials are still waiting for the winner to come forward.

The jackpot-winning ticket matched all seven numbers, 05, 06, 16, 30, 33, 43 and 51, along with the bonus number 35. It was the only ticket in Canada to win the top prize.

Loto-Québec has confirmed the winning selection was sold in Quebec but has not yet announced the city or retailer where it was purchased.

In addition to the jackpot, six $100,000 Maxmillions-style prizes were won across Canada, with winning tickets sold in the Prairies, Ontario, Quebec and the Atlantic provinces.

The June 26 Lotto Max draw also produced more than 116,000 winning tickets at various prize levels nationwide.

Lottery officials are urging players to check their tickets carefully, as the province’s newest multi-millionaire has yet to claim the prize.
