Quebec’s Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility says Highway 40 will be partially closed for eastbound traffic this weekend.
Highway 40 (Metropolitan) will be closed between the Côte-de-Liesse interchange and Highway 15 (des Laurentides) from July 10, Friday 11:30 p.m. to July 13, Monday 5 a.m.
This would include full closure between exit 65 (P.-É.-Trudeau / A-520 / R-117 / Aut. Côte-de-Liesse / Boul. Marcel-Laurin) and the entrance from Highway 15 (des Laurentides) southbound.
Traffic will be diverted onto the Côte-de-Liesse service road.
Drivers are being asked to take an alternative route: Highway 13 (Chomedey) northbound, Highway 440 (Jean-Noël-Lavoie) eastbound, and Highway 15 (des Laurentides) southbound.
There will also be other closures that will be in effect from July 10, Friday at 11 p.m. to July 13, Monday at 5 a.m.
The work may be rescheduled or cancelled due to weather conditions.
The ministry warns that high congestion is to be expected and advises motorists to consult Québec 511 before travelling.
