B.C. Conservative Candidate Urges Poilievre to Foster Unity Following Controversial Stampede Remark

Caroline Elliott Responds to Pierre Poilievre’s Comments on B.C. Conservative Leadership Race

After narrowly losing the B.C. Conservative leader race, Caroline Elliott has taken to social media to address Pierre Poilievre’s recent remarks about her campaign team. In a video posted today, Elliott expressed her disappointment at Poilievre’s comments, emphasizing her past support for him.

During his speech at the Calgary Stampede, Poilievre congratulated the newly elected B.C. party leader, Kerri-Lynne Findlay, suggesting her victory was over “Liberal lobbyists from out east.” This remark seemed to target Kory Teneycke, a former Harper staffer known for critiquing Poilievre, among others.

Elliott clarified that her campaign team included several individuals who had previously worked with Poilievre. She urged the Conservative leader to prioritize unity over division in the party.
