“Final Suspect in 2023 Home Invasion Killing Receives Sentencing: Ends Manhunt Saga”

Ousmane Keita, one of the individuals involved in a tragic home invasion that resulted in the death of 19-year-old Ryan Nagy, has been sentenced after pleading guilty to manslaughter.

The incident occurred when Keita, along with three others, broke into Nagy’s home with the intention of stealing guns from his father’s safe. During the invasion, Nagy and his girlfriend were restrained, and Nagy was fatally stabbed before the perpetrators could access the safe.

Upon returning home, Nagy’s father interrupted the crime, causing the intruders to flee. The planning of the invasion, including communication via text messages and using a vehicle with stolen plates to conceal their identities, was revealed during the sentencing.

Nagy was found bound and unconscious in the basement, where the gun safe was located, indicating a brutal and premeditated attack. Despite attempts to revive him, Nagy succumbed to his injuries before help could arrive.

The court heard that Keita received a six-year sentence with credit for time served, as both the prosecution and defense agreed that he showed potential for rehabilitation based on letters of support from his loved ones. However, the fourth individual involved in the crime, Rhoda Mboka Diabikulu, is still awaiting sentencing.
