“Toronto Man and Ajax Woman Arrested in Major Human Trafficking Crackdown”

Toronto authorities have recently apprehended two individuals in connection with a human trafficking case that unfolded in March in Toronto and Ajax, involving a 27-year-old individual who was victimized.

According to police, the accused individuals exploited the victim using tactics like deceit, coercion, and manipulation. Allegedly, the victim was moved to various locations to cater to clients for sexual services, with the earnings being seized and kept by the perpetrators.

A search warrant was carried out by law enforcement on July 16 at a Toronto address where Nygel Wright, a 30-year-old from Toronto, was taken into custody.

Wright faces a total of 12 charges, including assault, forcible confinement, comprehensive human trafficking, promoting another person’s sexual services, and profiting from sexual services.

Simultaneously, authorities executed a search warrant in Ajax on the same day, leading to the arrest of Kristin Hendren, a 34-year-old woman from Ajax.

Hendren is confronted with five charges, notably human trafficking through recruitment and benefiting from sexual services.

Both suspects were set to appear at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre on the day of their arrests. Authorities suspect that there might be more victims involved and urge anyone with relevant information to come forward and contact the police.
