After serving Montreal’s Village neighborhood for 50 years, the beloved St-Hubert rotisserie on Sainte-Catherine Street E. will be closing its doors in September. The decision comes as a result of municipal road work plans that will impact the area over the next five years.
Marie-Eve Gaudreau, spokesperson for Groupe St-Hubert, explained that while the restaurant enjoyed a prime location cherished by many locals, ongoing infrastructure projects for neighborhood revitalization have taken a toll on accessibility, foot traffic, and sales.
The closure is expected to affect around 60 jobs, but the company has promised to provide affected employees with the opportunity to transfer to another St-Hubert location.
Don’t miss your last chance to savor a meal at the iconic Village rotisserie, as it will bid farewell to customers for the final time on September 6.
