Police are looking for witnesses after a man who was assaulted on July 1 in Langley died eight days later in hospital.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has identified the deceased man as 75-year-old Larry Greig of Langley.
Greig was assaulted near Park Avenue and Douglas Crescent around 9:45 p.m., said IHIT.
Langley RCMP responded to the call and found Greig in distress from an alleged assault. IHIT has released his name to further the investigation.

“Investigation to date suggests Mr. Greig became involved in a physical altercation shortly after leaving a licensed establishment,” said Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT.
Police have also released pictures of people who were in the area at the time of the incident to see if they have witnessed the assault.
“Homicide investigators are looking to speak with the following individuals who were in the area at the time of the offence and may have witnessed something important.”
