A pedestrian was seriously injured in a collision with a pickup truck near the Veld music festival late Friday night. Toronto police reported that a 57-year-old man was driving a 2024 Dodge Ram through a grass parking lot near Downsview Park after a concert.
At around 11:35 p.m., a 29-year-old pedestrian was lying on the grass in the parking lot when the truck struck them. The injured victim was quickly transported to the hospital with severe injuries.
Authorities confirmed that the driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene, and police are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
