Montreal authorities are probing a suspected arson incident involving two establishments in the Côte-des-Neiges area. The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, near Décarie Boulevard and Plamondon Avenue.
Reportedly, a fire was spotted and reported around 3:15 a.m., prompting a swift response from the emergency services. SPVM spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron confirmed that firefighters successfully contained the flames after a lengthy operation.
The affected building, home to the kosher restaurant Nöam and another business, suffered significant damage in the blaze. Eyewitnesses claimed to have seen an individual leaving the vicinity shortly before the fire erupted, leading authorities to transfer the case to the SPVM arson unit for a detailed investigation.
