In a startling incident, two planes from separate flight schools collided mid-air over an area near Chilliwack in British Columbia’s picturesque Fraser Valley.
According to Garry Atkins from the Chilliwack Airport, one of the planes managed to make a safe landing with two occupants on board.
Tragically, the second aircraft ended up submerged in a quarry lagoon, with reports of one person aboard.
Responding swiftly, BC Emergency Health Services dispatched five ambulances to the area near Wolfe Road and Schweyey Road, located northwest of the airport. Fortunately, no patients required hospitalization.
The RCMP has yet to provide a formal statement on the matter, leaving many questions unanswered.
