A new contender has entered the race to lead the Ontario Liberal Party. Stephanie Bowman, who represents Don Valley West in the legislature, aims to steer the party towards competitiveness statewide. Previously a campaign co-chair, Bowman brings a background in finance, having served on the Bank of Canada’s board before her election in 2022.
Joining her in the leadership race is Lee Fairclough, representing Etobicoke-Lakeshore, with the winner set to be announced on November 21. Other notable candidates include former federal cabinet minister Navdeep Bains, housing advocate Eric Lombardi, and former political staffer Dylan Marando.
