Toronto law enforcement have apprehended a suspect following the reported stabbing of an individual in a Scarborough apartment in the early hours of Monday morning.
Authorities responded to a call at the intersection of Kingston Road and Lawrence Avenue East at 7:57 a.m. regarding the stabbing incident.
According to investigators, a confrontation between the victim and the suspect escalated inside the building leading to the stabbing.
Paramedics confirmed that one individual was taken to the hospital with significant yet non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene, and law enforcement stated that the victim and the suspect have a prior acquaintance.
The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
