The City of Hamilton Raises Concerns Over Controversial Convention Speaker
The City of Hamilton has issued a warning to local venues regarding an upcoming convention organized by The Dominion Society, a group advocating for “remigration.” The society promotes the mass deportation of immigrants and is selling tickets for a nationalist conference scheduled to take place in the Hamilton area on August 29.
Hamilton Mayor Andrea Horwath has publicly identified The Dominion Society as part of Canada’s broader white-nationalist movement. She has been actively informing local venues about the nature of the group and its controversial stance on immigration.
According to the group’s website, remigration is defined as the repatriation of foreigners to their countries of origin. The society calls for a 10-year immigration moratorium, the revocation of permanent residency status, and the deportation of millions of individuals.
The convention is set to feature Austrian remigration advocate Martin Sellner as a speaker. Sellner, who was banned from entering the United Kingdom in 2019 for security reasons, is scheduled to address the attendees. However, Canadian officials have declined to confirm whether Sellner will be allowed entry into the country, citing privacy concerns.
