A 30-year-old man dead after drowning at Albert Dyck Park in Abbotsford on Saturday, according to the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD).
Police say officers and other emergency responders were called to the park on Walmsley Avenue at approximately 4:42 p.m. after receiving reports of a person submerged in the water.
When first responders arrived, bystanders had already pulled the man from the water and begun performing CPR, AbbyPD said.
Despite the efforts of emergency personnel, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have determined the drowning was a tragic accident. Victim Services is providing support to those affected by the incident.
