A traffic controller was reportedly struck by an aircraft that was backing up on a runway at Montreal’s International Airport on Monday evening.
Emergency services were called to the airport around 7:30 p.m.
The victim was taken to hospital and remains in critical condition.
Montreal police said the investigation has been transferred to Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).
Investigators remained at the airport Monday evening, working to establish what happened and the circumstances leading up to the incident.
