A person riding an e-scooter was injured in Scarborough on Tuesday when a vehicle collided with them.
Authorities responded to the incident at Neilson Road and Livonia Place just before 10 a.m. following reports of the collision. Paramedics provided care to the e-scooter rider, who was then transported to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the vehicle involved in the accident stayed at the scene.
Due to the ongoing investigation, the southbound lanes of Neilson Road at Purpledusk Trail have been closed, causing traffic delays. Motorists are urged to seek alternative routes to avoid congestion in the area.
