The Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) under the leadership of Charles Milliard launched their election campaign in the Capitale-Nationale region, focusing on traffic improvement projects. While the proposed third highway link between Québec City and Lévis is not a current priority, the PLQ plans to prioritize key initiatives to alleviate traffic congestion in the area.
The party aims to enhance traffic flow by concentrating on essential projects such as transforming the Laurentian Expressway into an urban boulevard, addressing bottleneck issues at the bridgeheads, and collaborating with Alto on integrating the high-speed rail project with the existing road network and public transit system.
Although the third link remains under consideration for future development, the PLQ is determined to first complete these crucial projects to enhance transportation efficiency in the region. Following his visit to Quebec City, Charles Milliard is set to continue his campaign in the Mauricie region, engaging with residents and participating in campaign events, including a rally in Sherbrooke.
