Abir Batikhi, a Montreal resident, is heartbroken as her beloved cat, Caramel, has been missing for over two weeks now. The unfortunate incident occurred during a flight from Jordan to Toronto Pearson International Airport on August 17. Caramel somehow managed to escape from her carrier, leaving Batikhi in a state of distress.
Batikhi received information that Caramel was last spotted in Pearson’s Terminal 3, near Gate 29 or 30, an area not easily accessible to the public. Desperate to find her feline companion, Batikhi took to social media, pleading for assistance in locating Caramel before any harm befalls her.
Toronto Pearson Airport has been actively involved in the search for Caramel, with their wildlife team conducting regular searches in designated areas and setting up traps to safely capture the missing cat. The airport staff are on high alert, keeping an eye out for any sightings of Caramel to facilitate her reunion with Batikhi.
Caramel, a white and orange short-haired cat with a microchip, holds a special place in Batikhi’s heart, and she remains hopeful for their reunion. Despite reaching out to Royal Jordanian Airlines for assistance, no response has been received as of yet.
