New Westminster House Fire Quickly Contained with No Injuries
New Westminster Fire Rescue Services swiftly responded to a house fire on Sunday afternoon without any reported injuries. Acting Assistant Fire Chief Gord Denhoed shared that the incident occurred at a residence on 5th Street close to 3rd Avenue, with the call coming in just after 5:30 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighting teams were greeted with heavy smoke and flames billowing from the house. Fortunately, initial assessments indicated that all occupants had evacuated safely, and there were no casualties.
Additionally, reports of a tree ablaze in the backyard added to the intensity of the situation, but the prompt action of the fire rescue services helped prevent further spread and damage.
