Commuters traveling on Line 6 Finch West experienced disruption on Tuesday morning as the TTC (Toronto Transit Commission) declared a full service shutdown between Finch West and Humber College stations following a system failure.
The incident was initially reported shortly after 5 a.m., with the TTC releasing an updated statement at 6:45 a.m. confirming the ongoing closure. By 7:15 a.m., service had resumed but with delays still in place.
During the shutdown, shuttle buses were deployed to ferry passengers along the affected route.
According to reports, an overnight system reset scheduled by the TTC failed to reactivate on Tuesday morning, causing the disruption. Metrolinx, responsible for overseeing the Finch West LRT, was set to address the issue.
