A portion of King Street West in Toronto will undergo temporary closures during the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF). This closure will impact TTC streetcar routes, leading to diversions along certain days of the festival.
Specifically, King Street West will be inaccessible between Spadina and University avenues starting from 5 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 10, until 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 14. Additionally, closures will occur on Monday, Sept. 14, and Tuesday, Sept. 15, from 3 p.m. until 11:59 p.m.
During these closures, the 504A/304 King and 508 Lake Shore streetcars will follow alternative routes. Stops along King Street between Spadina and York Street will not be serviced during this period.
TTC anticipates potential delays for riders from Wednesday, Sept. 16, through Saturday, Sept. 19, especially during red carpet events associated with the 51st annual TIFF, running from Sept. 10-20.
