A lucky resident of Quebec has struck it rich with a million-dollar win from a Lotto 6/49 draw.
The winner, Patrice Touchette, scooped up a cool $1 million in the July 22 Lotto 6/49 draw, as confirmed by Loto-Québec.
Touchette’s stroke of luck came from a free play ticket, adding to the thrill of the win.
“When I saw $1,000,000 appear on the screen, I was convinced it was an ad!” Touchette shared, bursting into laughter, only realizing the truth when the clerk clarified that the prize was indeed real.
Touchette is now looking to secure his financial future by investing his newfound wealth into a retirement fund.
