“Armed and Masked: Four Nabbed with Loaded Weapons in North York Showdown”

Over the weekend in North York, Toronto police responded to a call regarding a person seen with a gun, leading to the arrest of four individuals on multiple firearms-related charges.

The incident took place on Sunday, September 6, in a parking lot near Dufferin Street and Steeles Avenue West. When officers arrived, they found all four accused individuals inside a vehicle, with three of them wearing masks.

While two suspects were apprehended inside the vehicle, the other two attempted to flee on foot but were swiftly caught by the responding officers. Police confiscated two loaded prohibited firearms, and images of the weapons have been made public.

Fortunately, there were no reported injuries in connection with the incident.

Facing a slew of firearm-related charges are a 17-year-old male youth, Aisosa Osadebamwen (20), Nana Asamoh (18), and Tafary Church (24), all residents of Toronto. The quartet was set to appear in court on Monday, September 7, with the underage individual protected by the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
