Mystery Surrounds Suspicious Death in Hamilton, Police Launch Investigation

Hamilton authorities are looking into the mysterious passing of a 54-year-old man in Waterdown this week.

According to reports, the man was discovered unconscious on the sidewalk close to Dundas Street East and 1st Street around 6:20 p.m. on Sept. 7. He was rushed to the hospital but sadly did not survive.

Initially, the incident was not considered suspicious. However, after further investigation, including video analysis, witness interviews, and a post-mortem examination, new details emerged casting doubt on the circumstances of the man’s death.

As a result, the case has now been deemed suspicious, and the Hamilton Police Homicide Unit has taken over the inquiry. Despite this development, the death has not yet been labeled as a homicide.

Authorities are urging locals, establishments, and drivers in the vicinity to review any security camera footage they may have from the evening of Sept. 7. Anyone with pertinent information or footage is encouraged to reach out to the police or Crime Stoppers.
