A late-night crash in Toronto’s west end resulted in four individuals being hospitalized and the apprehension of a 21-year-old man who allegedly fled the scene, as reported by law enforcement.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Dufferin Street and Rogers Road, just north of St. Clair Avenue West, around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday when two vehicles collided. Three individuals from one of the vehicles fled on foot following the crash, prompting a search in the nearby vicinity.
Emergency responders confirmed that all four injured individuals were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Subsequently, the authorities apprehended the 21-year-old man who had fled the scene. He now faces multiple charges, including dangerous operation, impaired operation, and failing to remain at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle also sustained minor injuries.
The intersection was closed overnight for investigations, with Dufferin Street shut down in both directions at Rogers Road. However, the roads have since been reopened.
The police are continuing their investigation into the incident.
