Tragic Accident Claims Life of 62-Year-Old Man in Scarborough Highway Crash
Tragedy struck on Highway 401 in Scarborough as a single-vehicle crash involving a delivery truck led to the untimely death of a 62-year-old man.
The incident, which occurred on the eastbound express lanes near Neilson Road shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday, prompted a swift response from Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers and paramedics. Reports indicate that the truck collided with a guide rail, resulting in the fatal outcome.
Emergency responders rushed the injured man, aged in his 60s, to the hospital with critical injuries. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his wounds later on.
In the wake of the crash, authorities have shut down the eastbound express lanes between east of Markham Road and east of Port Union to conduct a thorough investigation into the collision.
