The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) is reaching out to the public for assistance in locating a suspect involved in a recent murder at a restaurant in Salaberry-de-Valleyfield, situated in the Montérégie region.
Authorities are on the lookout for 19-year-old Ayoub Mohamed, a resident of Montreal, in connection with the tragic shooting of Jordan Gagné on September 4 within a restaurant on Alexandre Street.
According to a press release issued on Tuesday, the SQ has reason to believe that Mohamed may be currently situated in Terrebonne, Laval, Montreal (specifically Dollard-des-Ormeaux), or nearby areas.
Described as approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing 140 pounds, with brown hair and a thin moustache, Mohamed may have altered his appearance by shaving his head and sporting a blue bandana.
Individuals who spot the suspect are urged not to approach him directly but to immediately contact 911. Alternatively, any information can be shared confidentially with the SQ’s Criminal Information Center by dialing 1-800-659-4264.
