Authorities are currently looking into a destructive fire that razed two residences in the peaceful town of Boston Bar.
In the early hours of September 22, at approximately 1:51 a.m., law enforcement responded to a distress call concerning a residential blaze on Old Boston Bar Road. Upon arrival, officers witnessed a rapidly escalating inferno that had also engulfed a neighboring house.
The RCMP confirmed that all occupants managed to safely evacuate the two houses, with additional homes in the vicinity being cleared as a precautionary measure.
By around 3:30 a.m., authorities suspect that embers from the initial conflagration sparked a secondary fire near Railway Avenue, involving a stack of railway ties. Fortunately, the fire department swiftly extinguished the flames.
Thankfully, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incidents.
The homeowner of the first property affected is cooperating with investigators as they delve into the cause of the fire.
While the RCMP currently does not suspect foul play in the incident, the investigation is ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances.
