On Monday night, a 49-year-old man sustained serious injuries from a sharp object in the Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve area of Montreal.
Authorities from the SPVM responded to Ontario Street East, close to Desjardins Ave., at approximately 8:10 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered the man with injuries to his upper body.
The victim was swiftly transported to a hospital, where officials have confirmed that he is currently in a stable condition.
Before law enforcement reached the scene, it was reported that at least one suspect had fled. An investigation is now underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the altercation that led to the assault. To date, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
