Vieux-Longueuil Teen Arrested After Crashing Car Into Home During Police Pursuit
A young driver, only 17 years old, found themselves in hot water after a dramatic incident in Vieux-Longueuil on Tuesday night. Longueuil police (SPAL) reported that the teenager, who remains unnamed due to their age, allegedly decided to evade a routine traffic stop near La Fayette Boulevard and Chemin du Coteau-Rouge. This reckless move led to a high-speed chase by the pursuing officers.
The situation escalated when the driver accelerated and ultimately lost control, crashing the vehicle into a residence at the corner of Papineau Street and Curé-Poirier Boulevard. Shockingly, two occupants inside the home suffered minor injuries as a result of the unexpected collision.
Law enforcement promptly apprehended the 17-year-old at the crash site, where they were taken into custody. While the specific charges have yet to be disclosed, the investigation into the incident is actively ongoing.
