Montreal authorities are currently probing a violent incident that occurred in the Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie district late Thursday evening.
At approximately 1:30 a.m., emergency calls alerted authorities to an armed attack on Saint-Hubert Street, in close proximity to Jean-Talon Street East.
According to reports, a man was assaulted with a sharp object by another individual following a dispute. Upon their arrival, law enforcement discovered the victim suffering upper-body wounds from the sharp implement.
The 29-year-old victim was promptly transported to a medical facility, where medical personnel have described his condition as serious yet stable.
The alleged assailant purportedly fled the scene on foot prior to the arrival of law enforcement, and no arrests have been made at this time.
Authorities have cordoned off the area and are initiating an investigation to ascertain the specifics surrounding the assault.
