Vancouver Breaks Record for Advance Voting in 2023 Election
On October 3, Vancouver kicked off its advanced voting period, with a whopping 59 polling stations spread throughout the city awaiting eager voters.
In a remarkable turn of events, the City of Vancouver witnessed a historic surge in voter turnout, shattering previous records for advance voting.
City officials revealed that a staggering 21,824 individuals cast their votes on this first advanced voting day, marking a remarkable 196% increase compared to the same period in 2022.

Meanwhile, the City saw a surge in requests for vote-by-mail packages, surpassing all previous records. More than 18,000 residents opted for the convenience of voting by mail, representing a remarkable 70% increase over the 2022 Vancouver election.
