25-Year-Old Charged in Explosive Crackdown on Organized Street Racing Ring

A man from Toronto is facing multiple charges following his alleged involvement in an “organized street racing” probe in Peel Region.

The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Ethan Tolander, was allegedly seen driving a blue BMW 340i at various illegal street races earlier this year. This investigation is part of a larger police initiative named “Project ERASE.”

On October 1, law enforcement authorities carried out a search warrant at Tolander’s residence in Toronto and subsequently apprehended him. He has been charged with a total of six offenses, which include dangerous operation of a vehicle, fleeing from police, and breaching a release order multiple times.

Following his arrest, Tolander’s BMW was confiscated, and he was taken into custody for a bail hearing at a court in Brampton.

Peel Regional Police have emphasized that their investigation remains ongoing, hinting at the possibility of additional charges being brought against the accused in the course of further proceedings.
