The Montreal Canadiens’ season is off to a heartwarming start as several team members recently traded their skates for a great cause. Players such as Jake and Emily Evans, Nick Suzuki, Chris Kreider, and Mike Matheson made a special appearance at the annual Stroll & Dash charity event in Danyluk Park at the Town of Mount Royal. The event aimed to support young cancer patients at the Montreal Children’s Hospital and raise funds for Sarah’s Fund for Cedars through the Cedars Cancer Foundation.
Together, the players helped gather over $350,000 for Sarah’s Fund, demonstrating their commitment to making a difference in the lives of those battling cancer. By participating in family-friendly races and activities, they interacted with fans, showing solidarity with the young patients and their families.
The donations raised go directly to Sarah’s Fund for Cedars, providing crucial assistance to young cancer patients and their families on Sarah’s Floor at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. Every contribution aids in delivering essential care and supportive programs to children fighting cancer and their loved ones.
