Two men in their late thirties were recently apprehended by the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) after a series of drug busts took place in Lachute, nestled in the scenic Laurentians region.
Last week, the vigilant police officers of the MRC d’Argenteuil station initiated searches at a residence and a vehicle situated on Sydney Street.
The results of the operation were substantial, with law enforcement successfully confiscating a variety of illicit substances including cannabis, methamphetamine tablets, prescription drugs, and contraband tobacco. The apprehended individuals may potentially face charges associated with drug-related offenses, illicit cannabis possession, as well as violations of tax and tobacco laws.
Both suspects are slated to make their court appearances at the Saint-Jérôme courthouse in the near future.
This crackdown was made possible by valuable tips provided by the public and orchestrated under the guidance of Level 1 Drugs in the Outaouais region.
