Miraculous Survival: Man Cheats Death After Being Struck by Train in Surrey

A man in his 60s miraculously survives after being struck by a train in Surrey, as reported by the Surrey Police Service (SPS).

According to the SPS, the incident occurred on the CN tracks close to the Golden Ears Connector and 182 Street, just before 6 p.m. on Tuesday. Responding officers and BC Emergency Health Services found the man by the tracks. Despite being injured, he was conscious, breathing, and able to communicate.

The SPS stated that the man suffered a laceration to his scapula and explained that he was walking on the tracks when he was unexpectedly hit by the train. He claimed he didn’t hear or see the train coming and was simply “clipped” despite his efforts to avoid the collision. The SPS mentioned that there is currently no indication that the incident was intentional.

The man was swiftly transported to the hospital with severe yet non-life-threatening injuries, according to the police.

CN Rail has taken charge of the investigation, and there have been no reports of any ongoing train delays in the vicinity.
