Early Wednesday morning in Longueuil, a 29-year-old man who is currently without a home narrowly avoided a serious accident involving a garbage truck.
The Longueuil police (SPAL) reported that the incident occurred around 9:40 a.m. during a routine trash collection near 4405 Chemin de Chambly.
Mélanie Mercille, a spokesperson for SPAL, stated that as the garbage truck lifted the container and activated the compressor, the driver noticed the man inside the dumpster trying to get out.
Although the man sustained minor injuries, he declined to be taken to the hospital, as per Mercille.
