A driver suspected of being under the influence crashed their car into a utility pole in Coquitlam on October 3, according to the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP).
At approximately 4:40 p.m., police responded to a report of a single-car accident on Lougheed Highway, near Dewdney Trunk Road.
The vehicle’s sole occupant received medical evaluation from BC Emergency Health Services at the scene.
Subsequently, the driver was apprehended for allegedly driving while impaired and was transported to the Coquitlam RCMP detachment for further processing.
Authorities are seeking any dashcam footage from the area along Lougheed Highway to Westwood Street between 4:30 p.m. and 4:45 p.m.
