Manhunt Underway for Repeat Offender in Brutal Scarborough Stabbing and Home Invasion

Toronto authorities are currently in pursuit of a suspect who has evaded capture following his initial arrest in connection with a violent home invasion earlier this year.

The incident took place on January 22 around 11:30 p.m. in the vicinity of Kennedy Road and Ellesmere Road. Two individuals forcibly entered a residence, allegedly attacking one occupant while demanding money. A second individual was reportedly stabbed by one of the intruders before they fled the scene.

Following the incident, 32-year-old Francisco Garcia Arroyo was apprehended on May 4 and charged with two counts of robbery with weapons and aggravated assault. Subsequently, on July 16, 22-year-old Ricardo Romero Gonzales was arrested and faced similar charges. Gonzales was granted bail under the condition of wearing a GPS ankle monitor.

However, on September 16, authorities were alerted that Gonzales had tampered with or possibly removed his ankle bracelet. He failed to appear in court on September 22, leading to an arrest warrant being issued for non-compliance with the release conditions.

Gonzales is described as five-feet-seven, with black hair, brown eyes, and a medium build. He is known to frequent the Jane Street and Wilson Avenue area.
