On Thursday night, a man in his 70s sustained serious injuries when he was hit by a vehicle in Toronto.
According to Toronto police, the incident occurred in the vicinity of Coxwell Avenue and Mortimer Avenue shortly before 8 p.m. following reports of a pedestrian being hit.
Paramedics rushed the man to a trauma center in critical condition for medical treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the driver involved in the accident stayed at the scene to cooperate with investigators.
