Early on Friday morning, a fiery incident involving a tractor-trailer prompted the closure of the southbound ramp connecting Highway 400 to westbound Highway 401.
Authorities, including the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and firefighting teams, responded to the scene at approximately 2:45 a.m.
According to the OPP, the quick actions of the driver led to the successful separation of the cab from the engulfed trailer just before fire crews extinguished the flames.
The duration of the closure and the ongoing cleanup efforts remain uncertain.
