Two roller coasters at Canada’s Wonderland, Behemoth and Leviathan, have been temporarily closed following an incident at a Six Flags amusement park in Georgia. The closure comes after a fatal accident and multiple injuries on a roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia, prompting safety measures across similar attractions.
Officials have not disclosed the cause of the incident at Six Flags, located near Atlanta, but have initiated an investigation. In response, Canada’s Wonderland spokesperson stated that the decision to close Behemoth and Leviathan was a precautionary measure, aligning with Six Flags Entertainment Corporation’s move to temporarily shut down similar rides at their parks.
While the specific timeline for the reopening of the popular roller coasters remains uncertain, safety precautions are being prioritized. The incident has raised concerns about ride safety and operations across amusement parks.
