A 50-year-old worker is in critical condition after a tree fell on him in Dorval.
Montreal police (SPVM) received a call at around 10:40 a.m. regarding the incident on Brookhaven Avenue near Carson Avenue.
“At the scene, police officers and paramedics from Urgences-santé assisted a man in his 50s who has significant injuries,” said SPVM spokesperson Jeanne Drouin.
The man was then transported to hospital in an unconscious state.
“We are awaiting a response from medical authorities regarding his current condition,” added Drouin.
According to initial information, the SPVM said that the incident appears to have been a work accident that occurred in a private entrance of a residence.
The SPVM added that they are assisting investigators from the Quebec workers’ health and safety board (CNESST) in the case.
