“Heroic Rescue Efforts Conclude as Drowning Victim Retrieved from Harrison Lagoon”

The Agassiz RCMP confirmed on Saturday afternoon that the body of an individual presumed drowned in Harrison Lagoon has been located and recovered, following an extensive search effort.

On Friday, emergency crews were alerted to a potential drowning incident, prompting a swift response to the scene. The initial call to the authorities came just before 11:30 p.m., triggering a collaborative search operation involving the Harrison Hot Springs Fire Department and search and rescue teams.

Despite their concerted efforts, the individual remained elusive on the first day of search. Undeterred, the rescue teams resumed their search the next day, leading to the discovery of the person’s body on Saturday afternoon.

At this time, authorities have refrained from disclosing any further information about the missing individual.
