A tragic incident unfolded in a park in Montreal’s Saint-Laurent borough on Saturday night, resulting in the death of a 22-year-old man due to a stabbing. This marks the 26th homicide on the SPVM’s territory this year.
During the same armed attack, two 19-year-old men were also injured, with one in critical condition and the other in stable condition as of Sunday morning. All three victims sustained upper body injuries from a sharp object.
The SPVM received reports around 9:15 p.m. on Saturday regarding the incident in a park near the intersection of Jules-Poitras Street and Deguire Blvd. Upon their arrival, the police found the three victims and promptly transported them to a hospital.
While potential witnesses have been interviewed by the police, no arrests have been made in connection with the case so far. To facilitate investigations, a perimeter has been established to protect the scene for forensic experts and investigators to unravel the details of the incident.
