“REM Reconnects: Weekday Service Between Downtown Montreal and Brossard Restored!”

Commuters in Montreal can rejoice as the Réseau express métropolitain (REM) service between Brossard and Central Station is back on track starting this Monday, following a six-week hiatus.

The REM weekday service has resumed, operating from Monday to Friday between 5:30 a.m. and approximately 8:30 p.m., offering convenient travel options for commuters in the region.

The line’s five South Shore stations, linking Brossard to downtown Montreal, were temporarily closed for extensive testing as part of the preparations for the upcoming branches to Deux-Montagnes and Anse-à-l’Orme.

Although more testing is needed, the weekday REM service will continue to end at 8:30 p.m. until the new branches are operational. Weekend closures are also scheduled, with shuttle buses available to assist passengers during these times.

Stay tuned for updates on the opening dates of the Deux-Montagnes and Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue branches as officials work towards providing a seamless and efficient REM service for commuters in the Montreal area.
