A teenager has been accused of a hit-and-run incident that occurred in Leslieville in May.
According to authorities, the incident took place at a crosswalk near Queen Street East and Jones Avenue around 11:45 p.m. on May 20, where a man in his 30s was hit by a vehicle, sustaining serious injuries.
The driver, who reportedly fled the scene, was later identified as a 17-year-old boy from Richmond Hill and was apprehended on Monday.
He now faces charges including dangerous operation causing bodily harm and leaving the accident scene without providing assistance.
The teenager is set to appear in court on Wednesday.
