Authorities in Toronto are currently looking into a hit-and-run incident involving a driver who struck a female pedestrian on Tuesday morning. The collision took place shortly before 8 a.m. at the intersection of Parliament Street and St. James Avenue, close to the junction of Bloor Street East and Wellesley Street East in the St. James Town area of Toronto.
According to information provided by Toronto paramedics to CityNews, the injured woman was swiftly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Fortunately, her injuries are serious but not life-threatening.
Regrettably, the driver involved in the incident fled the scene and did not remain to provide assistance or information, according to the police.
The investigation into this hit-and-run case is currently ongoing.
