The Surrey Police are currently probing a shooting incident at a neighborhood car wash.
According to authorities, as officers were out on patrol around 11:05 p.m. on Monday, they came across bullet holes at the front of the car wash situated at 128 Street and 84 Avenue.
The car wash was shut at the time of the incident, with no staff members present on the premises.
The business owner reported receiving a threatening phone call from an unidentified caller on Saturday, August 16, who demanded a hefty sum of $50,000. Additionally, the owner alleges that two unidentified individuals visited his residence at midnight on Sunday.
In response, the owner has shared video footage of the encounter with the Surrey Police.
Police are still working to ascertain the reason behind the shooting and have confirmed that the investigation is ongoing.
The Surrey Police have enlisted their Frontline Investigative Support Team (FLIST) to lead the investigation.
